The 1st convocation of Shalamar School of Allied Health Sciences (SSAHS) was held on Saturday 18th December 2021. Graduates of Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Medical Imaging Technology (MIT), Medical Lab Technology (MLT), Operation Theater Technology (OTT), and Optometry & Orthoptics were awarded Degrees by Vice Chancellor University of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Javed Akram.

Graduates of all five disciplines Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Medical Imaging Technology (MIT), Medical Lab Technology (MLT), Operation Theater Technology (OTT), and Optometry & Orthoptics of Shalamar School of Allied Health Sciences (SSAHS) were offered paid internships in Shalamar Hospital Lahore.

Students of Medical Lab Technology (MLT), Medical Imaging Technology (MIT), and Operation Theater Technology (OTT) got top 3 (First, Second & Third) positions in UHS annual examination 2020. Students of Doctor of Physical Therapy, and Optometry & Orthoptics got 3rd position in UHS annual examination 2020.

November 14th, 2019

Physiotherapy Faculty and 4th year DPT students of SSAHS visited Lahore University of management Sciences (LUMS) Gait Analysis Lab on 14th November 2019 for learning of motion capture system and its usage, bowling action and kinematics. This is the only analysis unit in Pakistan with accreditation of International Cricket Council. Dr. Mian Muhammad Awais (HOD Department of Computer Sciences, LUMS) gave a lecture on Human Biomechanics and working of the equipment.

University of Health Sciences arranged STATE-OF-THE-ART lecture on EVIDENCE BASED MEDICINE on 13th November 2019 by Hans Forssberg; (Professor in Neuro-pediatrics and disability, President international Alliance of Academies of Childhood disabilities, Department of women’s and Children’s Health Karolinska Institutet, Astrid Lindgren Children’s Hospital, Sweden).Faculty and 4th year students of DPT, SSAHS attended the lecture.
